A correct map of Europe divided into its Empires, Kingdoms & c.

The map is one of four sheets that spans the northwestern part of Europe. It comes from Malachy Postlethwayt's The Universal Dictionary of Trade and Commerce. Kitchin was a prolific cartographer and made a large number of maps that appeared in various geographical works. Iceland is a copy of the map by Joris Carolus, or some version of it, but smaller and more sketchy.
