Kort over Island

The shape of Iceland on the map is of the Knoff type. The outlines of the four quarters have different colors. Inland there are few or no placenames. Two of the sheets shown here also have special maps of Greenland and the Faroe Islands. The maps probably accompanied a geography textbook for military recruits that Joseph Nicolai Benjamin Abrahamson began publishing in the 1820s.
