Cornelis van Wytfliet was a lawyer in Brabant. He probably wrote many geographical things, but only one of his works appeared in print: Descriptionis Ptolemaicæ augmentum sive Occidentis notitia. The map does not extend further east than the equator through the Canary Islands, so that the eastern half of Iceland falls outside its boundaries. Place names are only seven and of the type of Ortelius.
