At the end of the 18th century and in the beginning of the 19th Aaron Arrowsmith and his two sons, Aaron and Samuel, were the chief cartographers in Britain. Iceland on their maps is of the Verdun de la Crenne type and often part of maps of Denmark. A nephew, John Arrowsmith, had their maps reprinted many times in his map collection, called The London Atlas.
