Zatta published in the years 1775-85 a large collection of maps in several volumes entitled Atlante novissimo. Volume two had a special map of Iceland drawn after the map which the distinguished firm of map makers, Homanns of Nürnberg, had made in 1761. Iceland is in lesser scale than on the Homanns map. Place-names have changed considerably and their treatment could be due to misreadings of the original or that they were taken from an Italian translation of Büsching's Geography which the author claims to have used.
