Ítalskir kortagerðarmenn voru um þessar mundir í kapphlaupi um að ryðja á markaðinn nýjum kortum. Kortin hafa engan mælikvarða og þau eru ekki heldur gráðumerkt. Í stuttri málsgrein í efra horni vinstra megin segir að landið sé 200 skoínur frá norðri til suðurs. Kortin eru greinilega minnkaðar eftirmyndir Íslandshluta Norðurlandakorts Olaus Magnus frá 1539."
