A Map of the North Pole
Country:
England
Publication year:
1730 (about)
Herman Moll was a mapmaker who worked in England but was of Dutch origin. The map's version of Iceland has, like the author, it roots in Holland, it is a copy the map of Joris Carolus. The Western Fiords are shaped like a triangle and south and east coasts are too straight. Some of this can probably be blamed on the small scale of the map.
